The Torineser – Cover #87

Turin’s iconic monument becomes a giant calico cat on cover n°87 of The Torineser, an art project curated by Curve Studio that each week features a viewpoint of Turin and Italian authors with Turin-themed covers. Inspired by the iconic covers of The New Yorker, The Torineser gives space to the looks of Turin’s best artists to compose one big homage to the city.
The editors’ words on Guardiana:
‘The Mole is like an elegant and curious cat, a sly guardian watching over the city. If you venture through the alleys and observe it from close up, it appears majestic and enigmatic. But it is when you look at it from afar, perhaps on your way home, that it becomes familiar and reassuring. The soul of Turin is just like that, it does not reveal itself all at once, it must be discovered with patience.
